Fusion Sunshine Coast

Fusion is a national and international Christian youth and community organisation with branches in places from Tasmania to Nigeria. Fusion Sunshine Coast is the local branch here in Queensland based out of the Alcooringa Youth & Community Centre in Buderim. Where as the local branch the focus is on ensuring that the Sunshine Coast has strong youth, because folks at Fusion believe that strong youth equals a bright future. Fusion programs operate through creating safe and inclusive environments to connect with young people to encourage growth. As a part of this they run programs in high schools, run high energy Epic Evenings, mentoring programs and heaps more.

Fusion Sunshine Coast are always looking for committed volunteers who are willing to give their time to help others.

All training, orientation and support is provided. Please look through the list of positions available below and follow the link to express your interest.

Youth Programs:

Join their fantastic team running exciting and innovative youth programs that are bringing hope to young people. Positions are available on the following teams:

• Fusion Bus – mobile youth cafe operating (weekly on Thursday Afternoons)
• High School Lunchtime Programs (weekly on Thursdays & Fridays)
• Fusion Youth (Weekly youth program run on Tuesday nights in Buderim)
• Holiday Program? (1 week program in Winter & Summer Holidays)

Second hand clothing shops (Fusion OpShop)

• Shop Assistants are required for most weekdays and weekends at both Mooloolaba & Maroochydore stores.

Office administration:

Administrative Assistants are required for most weekdays to complete tasks such as:

• Answering the phone
• Filing documents
• Shopping for program resources
• Completing mail-outs etc.

Please note if you are wanting to complete hours as part of a placement, Fusion’s capacity to take placement students is very limited. If you would like to apply to do your placement through Fusion, you MUST have all your placement paperwork on hand.
