Jesus Has Risen.
On Sunday Pastor Hayden lead our Easter Sunday service, exploring: Luke 24:36-49. Resurrection Sunday.
In Luke chapter 23, Jesus is dead and disciples are thinking they’ve backed the wrong horse, a dead Messiah is not what they signed up for. But in Luke 24, they encounter an empty tomb and a risen Christ, who in vs 44-48 takes the time to explain what on Earth is going on.
In these short verses the disciples realise that suffering and resurrection was part of God’s design to bring peace (shalom), forgiveness and life to our world. The Disciples had not backed the wrong horse in the end, and neither have we, even though we may show we think that through our behaviour.
Jesus is the deliverer we need today, and tomorrow and tomorrow’s tomorrow. Let’s use this Easter weekend to affirm that, believe it and let it sink deep into our hearts. He is risen!

Reflection on Easter:
As we look back on Easter weekend, our hearts are full of gratitude and awe. From the solemn remembrance of Good Friday to the joyous celebration of Resurrection Sunday, we walked together through the heart of the gospel story. Good Friday reminded us of the weight of our sin and the depth of Christ’s love, as He gave His life for us on the cross. But Easter morning brought the glorious news: He is risen! Death has been defeated, and hope is alive.
Thank you to everyone who joined in worship, served behind the scenes, and invited others to experience the power of the resurrection. May we carry the light of Easter into the weeks ahead, living as people transformed by the risen Christ.
