Mount Tamborine Convention Centre – 25th to 27th Sept 2020.
Jesus entrusted the church (that is us) with the Great Commission to go into all the world preaching, teaching and making disciples – both those across the street and those across the seas.
Come join us at Mission Matters to be, encouraged, envisioned and equipped to help complete that commission cross-culturally, both at home and abroad.
This event is a great opportunity to:
- Hear God’s amazing love for the lost through first-hand accounts of those who have served cross-culturally to fulfil this mission critical commission.
- Seek out and spend one on one time with others who’ve made Jesus’ passion and focus their own.
- Engage with both local and global cross-cultural mission.
- Take time out to pray and ask “What is God’s next step for me?”
Rev. Dr. Peter Francis
After a 10 year career as a high school teacher, Peter entered into Pastoral Ministry. Over a period of 23 years Peter pastored at Cleveland Baptist, Beenleigh Baptist and the City Tabernacle Baptist Church. During this time he also served as a Regional Consultant with Queensland Baptists for 2 years. Over the past 30 years Peter has been involved with numerous short-term missions in places such as PNG, Bangladesh, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and South America and has served on various mission boards and committees, including the Far East Broadcasting Company and Global Interaction. Peter also regularly preaches in churches and has shared in a variety of Bible teaching conferences. He is married with 3 grown children and has a passion to invest in the next generation of missional leaders.
Pastor Peter Luu
Peter is currently the pastor of the English congregation at BCCC. A Chinese-community church based in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. He counts it a blessing, honour, and joy to serve the Kingdom of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus! Peter loves an adventure, but nothing prepared him for God’s adventure for him. From serving in pastoral ministry to discipling people through short-term missions, and everything in between. From Melbourne to Toowoomba, Australia to Asia, and a few other places along the way. Through it all, Peter just wants people to be one step closer in knowing the grace of God, grow in the life found in Jesus, and show the world how amazing God truly is. Peter is married to Julie with three super cute (he says he’s a little biased) kids: Joseph, Emily, and Matthias. They help keep his feet on the ground. He’s a coffee snob, foodie poser, dessert lover, and wanna-be traveller.
